The Accents
This is the final chapter in the Autumn colour story series I've been sharing over the past couple of months. This chapter is all about the accent colours and what they mean to me in jewellery. These are important and interesting as they can shift the mood of an outfit and bring light to a darker backdrop colour story such as Coco Brown or Transformative Teal.
Chartreuse is a key accent colour for the Autumn, delivering striking acid brightness to the earthy colours of the season. The Puruvian Jade, seen above, forming the main body of the necklace, is the perfect example of this unique colour. I decided to team it with Amethyst for a unique and incredibly special combination.
This combination is surprisingly versatile working beautifully with browns, navy, purple and white as well as chartreuse itself for a stronger accent statement. When I sourced this jade I didn't have a design in my head but just loved the striking colour and subtle sparkle from the tiny facetted stones. The large Amethyst was a rare find, Amethysts of this size and quality, in my experience, are exceptionally hard to come by.
When I put them both together I instinctively knew it was a perfect marriage.
The dropper is detachable if desired, and sterling silver is my metal of choice for the clasp and accompanying pieces.

How to wear it
This necklace is most definitely a stunning statement piece so all other jewellery should be low key but strong in form to create balance. The Clemancy cuff with its sculptural shape would be perfect together with a simple earring such as the Nia. The Molly ring worn with the Mabel ring as a pair (my everyday ring combination) would be great partners and work with all other silver jewellery you may own.
