Pearly Queens
“Pearls are my great love, chosen for their lustre and character. My pearl jewellery, from baroque drops to delicate stacks, no two quite the same.” - Jo

The rich deep brown of smoky quartz is such a perfect partner to the cream of pearls, they really enhance the beauty of each other. When designing the Katrina I wanted to offer versatility, so the necklace could be worn in a choice of ways: plain without the pearl dropper and clasp to the back, or with the dropper for a gorgeous pendant necklace. You could also put the pearl on a chain for an extra necklace option.

I know I shouldn't have favourites, but if I did, Genevieve would certainly be in my top ten. I sourced these stunning large baroque freshwater pearls for their striking appearance and lustre.

I always associate amazonite with summer, and I wanted to combine these gorgeous matt blue green gemstones with deep red coral. The pearl makes the perfect companion to them both, and the coral and pearl look cool as a couple. The combination makes me think of summer holidays, the sea and sunshine.
To be treasured and enjoyed.

I struggle to find an excuse not to wear something pearl every day. I simply love them in any shape and size: necklace, ring or earrings.
This freshwater pearl ring is a perfect complement to other rings, either plain silver or stone set, as well as looking so pretty worn on its own.

I absolutely love pearls, particularly baroque pearls with their wonderful irregular shape. Working with my supplier, we chose large pearls where the natural shape and irregularities can be seen and enjoyed. They are gently dyed to a beautiful delicate shade of grey blue, which seems to enhance their natural iridescence, or nacre, to give it its technical term.
Jo's Notes
These large irregular baroque pearls are really shown off by the contrasting black thread which forms the knots between each pearl. I love this difference. The Odette looks amazing when worn with black, as it shows a level of detail in your styling that can't be challenged. Try also stacking with the blackwood Katia bangle, or a black mix horn cuff or bangle, for a sophisticated black mix combination.

I love a long necklace but sometimes I want more of the gemstones or pearls so I created the Nadia with its double layer. I love how the first layer of freshwater pearls draws your eye down to the final strand with its beautiful smooth smoky quartz dropper, centralising the longer strand of this timeless pearl and gemstone necklace. My favourite way to wear this necklace is over a simple silk or jersey top or vest. So chic.

I created the Lori because it's a cool piece to layer or wear on its own, and it makes a perfect gift. I love that you can wear it in two ways: either with the lariat drop as shown in the main picture, or move the T bar fastener to the circle above the pearl and disk for a necklace without the drop. Great for a weekend away or a holiday, pack one necklace and wear it two ways with different necklines.
There are so few outfits where this necklace wouldn't work. I love to layer it with the Kat pearl necklace and the Amelia coral necklace for a relaxed look. It also looks very chic with the Claudia diamond look necklace. The gold Angel bangles make great partners.

Creating this bracelet was a joy, selecting the beautiful strands of labradorite in different shapes, facetted rounds and ovals, teamed with these beautiful silver grey baroque pearls. A stunning bracelet to be worn on its own, no stacking required! Knitwear or silk, this bracelet elevates an outfit. I love to keep my dressing tonal when I wear this, so I will wear it with grey or maybe white and grey.
Jo's Notes
I wanted to team these clear high grade facetted briolettes I sourced with tiny freshwater seed pearls. I individually select the pearls to ensure the proportions of this beautiful drop earring are in balance. All brought together on sterling silver in the UK.

A short pearl necklace used to be a timeless gift given to women on their 21st, which later fell out of fashion. I love the sentiment around this and wanted to offer a classic strand of freshwater pearls in my collection, but style the necklace in a modern way, which is to layer it with other necklaces. I love it with the Freya or Ines.

I designed this simple but stylish piece for those days when you're doing things like a dog walk with a friend and then a coffee, popping to a farmers market or doing the supermarket shop. You need or want to be casual but just want something that complements the casual outfit and gives an individuality to your look. The Audrey and Judy work so well for this. The soft suede against the pearls works so well together and looks great with t-shirts, shirts and knitwear.

Bracelet stacks are everywhere right now. I love them, and one bracelet is never enough for me. My exception is a cuff, and then one is enough.
I designed the Indira to be part of a stack, and it combines two of my favourite gemstones with a pearl: a smooth smoky quartz drop, a turquoise serpentine bead and a flat, irregular baroque pearl. It works with a summer and a winter wardrobe, and smoky quartz always looks great with autumn colours.
I love to stack it with the Angel hammered bangles and the Brooke stretch bracelet, which picks up on the turquoise serpentine. For a slightly more formal stack, the Bonnie pearl bracelet looks amazing with the Indira and the Angel bangles.
Although stacking is a moment happening right now for some, I have worn a bracelet stack for years and probably always will. I want my pieces to have longevity and to be created with meaning.

A long single strand of pearls always looks great. With the Holly necklace I wanted to create a long pearl necklace that wasn't as formal as a single strand, and so would have more opportunities to be worn in a more casual way, maybe with a denim shirt or a t-shirt and jeans. The rock crystal nugget looks great with pearls, not detracting from their beauty but enhancing the overall look.
Jo's Notes
Stylish and contemporary is how I would describe this necklace. Also versatile through its design, as the coin is detachable so you could also wear it on a simple chain, layered with the pearl necklace, or with the clasp worn at the back. Lots of wearable options but I love it just as it is!
Jo's Notes
I love these earrings as they elongate the neck and evoke a feeling of elegance; they are pure glamour.
Sterling silver, 18ct gold plated and smooth pearls. The smooth shape of the freshwater pearls lend themselves perfectly to the elegant smooth earwire.

Anything that reminds me of Coco Chanel's everlasting style and love of pearls becomes a piece close to my heart.
With this necklace the design process came about in a slightly unusual way. I actually came across these wonderful clasps first. They don't look like clasps, but they are, whereas usually the process begins with the gemstones or pearls. I loved their vintage look and instantly knew they should be combined with pearls.
I love to wear the Gina layered with the Elenore diamond look necklace. The combination feels contemporary yet timeless. Although many may consider this a formal dresser piece, I love it with a black tank, jeans and a leather jacket for a contemporary Chanel look. It also works incredibly well with luxury fabrics such as silk, taking elegance to a whole new level.

I believe everyone should own a freshwater pearl stud. They are incredibly flattering to all skin tones and add a touch of class to any outfit. The Florrie is the smaller of my two pearl studs, so it sits very close to the ear and is beautifully discreet, which makes it the one I reach for most on an ordinary day. I never travel without a pair of pearl studs.
One thing I never do is wear a pearl stud with a pearl necklace, this instantly dates the look. Wear them with gold or silver necklaces. You could include a Bonnie or Bella pearl bracelet within a stack to tie in, that would be just enough.

The Fabienne ring has such timeless elegance. The perfect combination of making a statement and femininity. I hand select each pearl for this ring, working with my pearl supplier. After many years working together they know the quality and size I need to make this ring so special. We can't always get the size we need so sometimes you may find we're temporarily out of stock, but hopefully never for too long! I never want to compromise on the quality of the pearl.

When I put the Coco on, and that could be with anything from jeans and a shirt to a black dress, I feel lifted and finished.
Coco Chanel had an unwavering passion for pearls, as did many other style icons past and present. I completely understand why, and I share it.

The simplicity of this earring is so lovely. It's delicate and feminine, yet it has a presence. Great for day or evening, with its tiny stack of pearls. And what a lovely gift they would make.
Although I've styled them on our model with a brown cotton shirt and jeans, I could easily put them with a fine cotton blouse or a simple black dress. They're a good earring to work with quite a few looks.
For other jewellery I'd keep things delicate: Angel gold bangles and the Claudia diamond look necklace. Diamonds and pearls always work beautifully together. I wouldn't wear anything else pearl.

Pearl is the birthstone (though not technically a stone) for anyone born in June. How lucky! Pearls are my go to for any occasion. The Bonnie bracelet is a jewellery wardrobe essential, it works beautifully on its own and also looks wonderful layered with other bracelets for a more contemporary styling twist. These baroque pearls are selected specifically for their size, lustre and irregular shape. Pearls suit all skin tones and add a touch of elegance every time.

The Betty earrings feel like old friends. I designed them for the collection in the very early days. I wanted a drop pearl earring that felt modern, not too much for daywear but also perfect for evening.
Never wear a pearl necklace with the Betty, as it will look too matchy and date the look. Wear them with a very fine necklace so nothing competes, or ideally just with a bracelet stack of silver and pearl bracelets, or a cuff or single bangle like the Athena. The Angel bangles look great with these earrings, as they mirror the hammered detail on the silver ovals of the drops.

Pearls are my go to. A bracelet, earrings or a necklace, I always reach for them, either as the statement or as a beautiful, quiet and elegant addition.
The Bella, along with the Bonnie which is the same bracelet with a silver clasp, is one of those pieces I would put in a wardrobe essentials category. It works beautifully on its own and looks great layered or stacked with other bracelets for a more contemporary twist. I selected these pearls specifically for their gorgeous irregular shape, size and lustre.

If you don't already know, I adore pearls. I wanted to design a simple pearl necklace which I could wear formally or casually and also felt very contemporary. The combination of the texture of the suede and nacre of the pearl is so lovely, together with the contrast between the black and white, a striking combination.
