I adore this necklace for its hot red colour and spiky "fronds". I love to wear it with a navy and white striped top, as well as white and navy as single colours. From denim to more formal colours, it always manages to make me smile, adding a gorgeous natural pop of colour. I source my coral from specific sources where coral farmers operate under strict coral farming licenses within the Mediterranean.

Since I was a child I have been fascinated with lava stone. I think it came about after my sister went on a school trip and, from what I remember, visited Mount Vesuvius and came back with a piece of lava. I was amazed by this small piece of black rough stone that was once boiling hot, red lava.

So when I wanted to create a necklace in matt black to provide contrast and texture against clothing, I knew it needed to be lava stone.
