There is a golden touch to this week’s newness, created using a new and innovative technique, one that I’m still both amazed and excited by.
The two new earrings I have recently launched have been produced using 3D printing. Yes, 3D printing in the jewellery industry.
It’s fascinating to see centuries-old casting techniques combined with modern technology to achieve finer, more accurate results.
How 3D Printing Is Used in Jewellery Design
The process begins with CAD (Computer Aided Design), where the jewellery design is carefully created digitally.
Once complete, the design is 3D printed and checked thoroughly against the original concept to ensure accuracy. From the print, it is then cast in my chosen metal.
This innovative technique has enabled us to create the incredibly fine cut-out detailing you’ll see in each of the new gold statement earrings below — detail that would be difficult to achieve through traditional methods alone.
The Anais Gold Earrings
The first of the new styles are the Anais Gold Earrings, shown below.
What I love about these earrings is the beautiful tiering to the design, almost like a delicate Japanese pagoda. Each layer features incredibly fine cut-out detailing in the metal, creating softness and movement throughout the piece.
The design is finished with a beautiful pearl drop, making them feel both elegant and unusual at the same time.
These are gold statement earrings that truly stand out, while still feeling refined and wearable.
The Desiree Earrings
The second new design is the Desiree earring, where this same 3D printing technique has been used beautifully.
The incredibly fine detailing on the gold ball has been made possible through this modern production process. Hanging beneath is a sleek gold drop, creating a striking silhouette that feels both sculptural and sophisticated.
Like the Anais, the Desiree makes a statement while still feeling timeless.
How I Would Style Them
With both of these earrings, I would keep other jewellery pieces simple and in keeping with the overall look.
For the Anais earrings, I would pair them with a couple of Angel hammered gold bangles and the Bonnie pearl bracelet with the gold clasp. Together, they subtly tie in with the pearl detail of the earrings without competing for attention.
This same bracelet stack also works beautifully with the Desiree earrings.
For something simpler, I would add the Amy slim cuff and bring in a statement ring in gold, such as the Agathe, Fabienne, or the Nikki in Rutile Quartz.
The key is to let the earrings remain the focus.
Less Is More
One final piece of advice — don’t wear a necklace with these earrings.
It will detract from their elegance and style and ultimately lessen the overall look.
Sometimes, less really is more.
