When deciding what statement earrings I wanted to put in the collection this was an immediate yes. I love the combination of the Labradorite semi precious stone stud at the top and the organic shape of the metal. The Labradorite is has a "tumbled" finish so slightly rough and not too polished which I believe combines well with the organic shape and matt finish of the gold plated bronze drop. Fantastic statement, no necklace required! My rule is nearly always when wearing a statement earring, rings and bracelets only, allowing the earrings to be without competition. 

Labradorite has a unique “labradorescence” which is a beautiful natural optical effect belonging only to Labradorite. This optical effect shows strong displays of iridescent blue, green and sometimes red and orange. First deposits were found in Labrador – northern Canada -in the late 1700’s, giving the stones its name. Extremely versatile and has been cut to release the maximum “labradorescence”
